  18. <p>     To most women, the notion that MEL GIBSON could somehow
  19. become unattractive is as inconceivable as a world full of
  20. peace, joy and runproof panty hose. Get ready, though. In his
  21. new film, The Man Without a Face, the Australian with way too
  22. much sex appeal will portray a small-town recluse damaged by
  23. severe facial scars. The film focuses on Gibson's unpopularity
  24. and on the touching relationship he develops with a young boy
  25. who is trying to come to terms with his father's death. Bonus:
  26. the movie will feature not only Gibson's debut as a man who is
  27. less than Adonis-like but also his debut as a director.
