- <p> To most women, the notion that MEL GIBSON could somehow
- become unattractive is as inconceivable as a world full of
- peace, joy and runproof panty hose. Get ready, though. In his
- new film, The Man Without a Face, the Australian with way too
- much sex appeal will portray a small-town recluse damaged by
- severe facial scars. The film focuses on Gibson's unpopularity
- and on the touching relationship he develops with a young boy
- who is trying to come to terms with his father's death. Bonus:
- the movie will feature not only Gibson's debut as a man who is
- less than Adonis-like but also his debut as a director.
